HOW ABOUT a SWIMMING POOL on your BALCONY?
That’s the idea of an architect named James Law from the James Law Cybertecture International Holdings Ltd, a global consultancy specializing in the design and strategy formation of Cybertecture Projects (a mix of technology and architecture for architecture and products).
Those pool balconies are part of a residential building called Bandra Ohm designed for the company Parinee Developers PVT LTD who plan to build it in Bandra, a suburb located in the north-west of Mumbai, India. Bandra Ohm is a 140 m (459 feet) tower which design concept is inspired by the ripple effect generated by water droplets, also known as the capillary wave. The image of the ripple emphasizes fluidity and this idea is reflected in the
tower’s design. The outline of the tower demonstrates the fluidity and dynamic nature of the ripple. The outline and the ripple pattern can be conceived as an abstract representation of the symbol Ohm (O). The ripple effect usually generates a vortex-like space in the center. The tower design is trying to recapture the essence of this space by creating a large void in the middle along with a special designed clubhouse form.
